About this appellation
Aloxe-Corton
Aloxe-Corton is a village in the Côte de Beaune, at the foot of the hill of Corton, a few kilometers north of Beaune. The appellation mainly produces red wines from Pinot Noir. Clos des Maréchaudes is one of its climats (named vineyard sites) classified as premier cru; the label reproduced here is that of Domaine du Pavillon. Discover all our appellations.
On the label, beneath the crowned coat of arms and the motto “Depuis 1831” (since 1831), you can read the word “Monopole”: Domaine du Pavillon (Albert Bichot, owner) is the only grower of this premier cru Clos des Maréchaudes.
