About this appellation
Pommard, in the Côte de Beaune, is an appellation of red wines made from Pinot Noir, known for their structure. The Clos des Épenots is classified there as premier cru; the label reproduced here is that of Château de Meursault. Discover all our appellations.
The label bears the coat of arms of Château de Meursault (fleur-de-lis, griffins, the motto “Altum alii teneant”): this estate also makes red wines in Pommard, including this Clos des Épenots, with the words Premier Cru written in red.
